Summary:
We and our Partners advised eflow Global, a UK-based Reg Tech scaleup which provides financial firms with software solutions to help them comply with their regulatory requirements. They offer award-winning solutions for market abuse surveillance, transaction-cost analysis, transaction reporting and eComms surveillance.
We engaged in a focused set of activities to boost their growth plans, including:
- Performed proprietary investor readiness diagnostics on the client and informed their 3-5 year growth play book to align with raising growth capital
- Development of key collateral (i.e., teaser, investor memorandum, investor slide-deck & fully integrated three-statement financial model) and provided executive coaching
- Orchestrated meetings with relevant investors based on SUG knowledge of, and credibility within, the tech investor community
- Provided input on terms / valuation concerning both equity and venture debt component

We engaged in a focused set of activities to boost their growth plans, including:
- Persuading the Founder they justified raising growth capital

- orchestration of meetings with relevant investors based on SUG knowledge of, and credibility within, the tech investor community
- input on terms / valuation
Finally, one of our Partners, Paddy MccGwire, led his advisory firm, Silverpeak as advisers to the highly successful sale of Cloudtrade to Advanced.

We helped SHE software shape their growth investment proposition and identify suitable investors to approach.
Our fast, systematic approach gained a number of investment offers, whilst simultaneously allowing the Evotix leadership team the space to continue to drive vital day to day operations and not lose momentum whilst raising growth funds. We also provided further insight on funding terms and our Partners have personally invested in the business as part of the ongoing, long-term commitment ScaleUp Group makes to its clients.

Summary:
ScaleUp Group’s Founder, John O’Connell, was their first ever Chairman of their first ever Board for approximately 4 years, supported by his colleague Sean Finnan and has materially helped ActiveOps in their transformation from a service-led Back Office Optimisation Solutions provider to a high-growth cloud-based global SaaS business, leading to their IPO in 2021. This support included initiating the introduction of their Global Sales Director, now Head of EMEA as well as encouraging the absorption of their Australian franchise and the CEO’s relocation to the USA as a part of the company’s global expansion.

ScaleUp Group, chaired by John O’Connell who led several Angel rounds, has supported ActiveNav’s growth journey by more recently orchestrating their first Series A fund raise,, then a follow-up round resulting in £8m+ investment in total – £400k of which has been invested by ScaleUp Group.

Summary:
ScaleUp Group supported Fiscal Technologies by conducting a structured fund-raising process which created considerable interest from the Fund community. SUG Partners Adam Hale and Alan Laing (the later as Chairman) already had an involvement with the business, which was underpinned by several others becoming shareholders through personal investments.
Though our CEO Forum, we provide ongoing post-funding support to our Clients to help ensure the funds raised are being spent wisely, maximising the business’s growth potentials – Fiscal Tech CEO, David Griffiths being the most active forum member!
