Nick Kingsbury
Biography:
Nick is an experienced international software entrepreneur and venture capitalist. He started his career with one of the leading UK software houses before setting up his own software and consultancy company in the mid-1980s. He sold this business to Staffware plc in 1996, shortly after which the combined entity floated on AIM. He then spent eight years at the venture capitalist 3i as sector head for software and internet investments.
Since 2007 Nick has acted as advisor to some venture capital funds and also has advised and invested in a number of early stage technology companies. For the last 15 years he has served as non-executive director of Objective Corporation, an Australian ASX listed information management software company, now with a A$1.6Bn market cap. From 2011 to 2015 he also chaired Accumuli plc, an AIM listed cyber security integrator and Managed Security Services Provider, sold to NCC Group for £55m.
Nick joined Amadeus in 2018 and focuses on cyber security, AI and B2B software businesses. Following Amadeus’s investment he serves on the boards of Atto (formerly called DirectID), XYZ Reality, Pimloc and Sitehop, and is Amadeus’s representative for the investment in Altana.ai, most recently valued at $1Bn.
