Neal Gandhi
Biography:
Neal is a serial entrepreneur having founded several companies with a combined valuation at their peak of around £450m. The most recent company that he founded, TPXimpact, was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2018, just two years after incorporation. That company now has run rate revenues approaching £100m and employs around 700 people and approximately 300 associates, with just £6m invested in the entire history of the company. In October 2022, Neal replaced himself as CEO and is now Founder and Non-Executive Director. Prior to TPXimpact, he:
- Co-founded Xplora, an internet services pioneer founded in 1996 and sold to a Nasdaq listed company
- Co-founded Attenda, a managed services company founded in 1998 and sold in two parts to a London Stock Exchange listed company and a private equity firm.
- Founded Quickstart Global, an agile outsourced software development company located in India and Bulgaria which grew to 800 people in 5 years with zero external investment. The Indian division of the company was sold to his business partner in 2012.
Between 2012 and 2016, Neal was an angel investor participating in early stage funding rounds of companies such as Kimble, Eseye, Graze and many others.
Today he is the main investor, shareholder and co-founder of Spin Energy Srl, a company founded in December 2022 a solar development company focused on Italy and Croatia, and is well positioned in light of Europe’s need to create energy independence, in addition to addressing climate change. The company was created as part of his self funded acquisition of an 87MW pipeline of solar assets from a US based solar development company. Spin Energy’s goal is to develop 2GW of assets by 2030, which at current pricing would create revenues of around €375m.
Neal’s interest in ScaleUp Group lies in his determination to help companies seriously scale using his Add Two Zeros strategies. His favourite phrase is “It’s a question of ambition.”
